No, I think this is *THE* topic!  Since about a year now, I have completely reorganised my studio mostly due to the cost of running it - my electricity bill was too high!! I used to have everything on and ready to go - now I do some ReWiring and Config when wanting to use extra equipment together with my 'Base' studio setup. the secondary benefit though is that I know my music is now Lower Emission!
