Hi Folks

I was asked at KISS 2011 if I could post the Kyma sounds/related files and the powerpoint presentation used in my talk entitled....

"The Piece of wire between the SpectrumInRAM and the OscillatorBank"

In the video it is hard to see what is drawn on the screen especially the oscilloscopes. You could use this files and run the sounds in conjunction with the video and it may make more sense.

If you would like to download the files please email me at
pete AT bantusound DOT com
Where AT is @ and dot is .

and put in the subject line
"KISS PJ FILES PLEASE".

I will eventually email you back with the link for the files.

Thanks

Pete

Yes, thanks, Pete, for providing this!

Unfortunately, I get the same error. I have just emailed you with the stack trace.

Pete was a beta tester for Kyma X.82 so some of his Sound files cannot be opened in earlier versions of Kyma. You'll be able to open them soon.

Hi Folks

I believe I have replied to all the emails so far.

If you have not had a response then it may have been grabbed by my spam filter or I'm lust guilty of bad file management.

Please let me know if you have not had a reply.

Also if you have had any problems opening up the .kym with the new KYMA software.

thanks

Pete

Thank you so much for these Pete! It makes it so much easier to follow the lecture, especially since I can't see the oscilloscope on the movie clip.

Very inspiring and illuminating.

I agree... Some of the Sounds' results nearly moved me to shed tears out of complete awe.

Hi Guys

Your words are too kind and my intention wasn't to make any one cry.

BTW Sean, I never got round to incorporating the Barbershop Beatles into the talk. I was going to show formant corrected pitch shifting. As you probably guessed I can really sing that high (as in the "House of Lords" bit).

Rob/cebec I noticed that you could not see the scope in the video and without it The talk Didn't make much sense. So I hoped that the Kyma sound's would allow you to do a virtual talk running the sounds along side the video, which you seems to have worked out. You may need to make use of control/K and control/R to stop and replay the sound without reseting the sliders.

Also I need to thank Kurt for prof-reading the text and finding my miss-filed sounds at the 11th hour, and Bruno for prof reading the text and testing the sounds before I shared the files.

Thanks

Pete
