so.. i saw Pixar's WALL-E tonight.. quite amazing.. the sound design was spectacular...

i found a movie clip here:
http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/wall_e/trailers.php

called A SPACE JOURNEY INTO SOUND

sound designer Ben Burtt at one point in the clip is using a small Wacom tablet.. i can only assume it's hooked up to a Capybara.

Carla, do you know, by any chance, if he is a Kyma user?

Hi Taylor

Try looking at the paper inlay inside the wacom tablet in the video.
looks familiar to me.

Since both Ben and Matt Wood have spoken publicly about using Kyma on other films, I guess it's fair to say that yes, he does have one.

(for example, http://mixonline.com/sound4picture/film_tv/audio_star_wars_episode_2/index.html )
