Hi SSC, Carla and all Kyma community!

This is my first post here, but I am reading it for two years already.
Now I received my Pacarana - and with new hardware, new questions appeared.

I own rather good music devices with USB interface and wanted to use them with Pacarana.
How easy is it? may be simply their DeviceIDs are enough for enabling Paca support?
I can be tester

1. USB Audio
Roland M-1000 digital mixer: http://www.roland.com/products/en/M-1000/
It can act as USB Audio in/out.
Characteristics:
stereo,
44.1, 48, 96 KHz @ 24 bit.
S/PDIF: in and out , coaxial and optical,
plus Analog in and out.

2. USB Audio and MIDI
Access Virus Ti (I own Desktop version): http://www.access-music.de/page/render/lang/en/p/62/do/Virus_TI_technical_specifications.html http://emusician.com/elecinstruments/emusic_access_music_virus_ti/
USB audio: 192 KHz @ 24 bit
S/PDIF in/out 44.1/48 KHz, in/out
Analog in: 2 channels
Analog out: 6 channels
USB MIDI: in, out, thru

3. USB MIDI (8-channel!)
Yamaha Morif Rack ES with USB-MIDI http://usa.yamaha.com/products/music-production/tone-generators/motif-rack_es/?mode=model

These are their IDs:
(if needed, I can post full output of Linux dmesg and lsusb).

PS. full output in attachment

Any class compliant USB device will work with the Pacarana, so if it mentions that in the spec, then it should work. The easy way to tell is, if the device does not require that you install a driver on your computer, then it will probably work when you plug it into your Pacarana.

Hi SSC, thanks for quick answer.

I tested more thoroughly.
No luck All three are determined in Pacarana (I see their names and number of channels at the panel),
I can switch input and output to them at the panel,
but can not access them from Kyma.
(1,3) Roland M1000 and Yamaha Motif Rack ES :
Kyma shows repeating Firewire error and Pacarana inaccessibility,
and even freezes after showing number of CPUs and RAM volume, if I choose to restart DSP.
(2) Virus TI is determined OK and shown in DSP Status window,
but I can not switch to it (option present, but not selectable)

Concerning drivers - Vista is asking for drivers, but Linux is OK with its standard driver "usb-audio".

However, these devices are good enough for their current tasks! For Kyma, I got separate interface.
