![]() ![]() ![]() hereīs another bug report: iīm using kyma connected to a PT5 workstation. i like to tweak kymaīs parameters locked to tc coming from the universal slave driver in loop mode. kyma only follows the first cycle of PT. after that it just stops at the end of the loop. it doesnīt re-lock when PT loops. i have to press stop first and then replay. :-) just bought a motor mix. quite expensive because only about 40% of all the knobs are supported, but still an improvement... frank. ![]() ![]() ![]() Are you certain your MotorMix is coming up in "non-ProTools" mode? You can switch modes by pressing the Escape and Play buttons on the MotorMix. Also, be sure you have selected MotorMix as your external MIDI controller in the Performance Preferences. Regarding your time code report: how long (in seconds) was the loop that was not resynchronizing? IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() My MM is non-PT no mergers etc. in between. prefs are set to MM. the loop is ca. 10 sec. frank. by the way: syncing the clock to PAL black-burst works. i think i asked this once before i bought my kyma. :-) IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Frank, Please email the timeline to us, because we need more detailed information as to the modules being used etc (no need to send the samples, just the timeline itself). Thanks. Regarding the Motor Mix, all of the faders, rotaries, switches and buttons and the LCD strip are utilized as parameter controllers or labels in Kyma. A handful of the buttons along the sides have not yet been assigned any specific functions. So if 40% of your knobs do not work, then something is wrong (that's why we suspected that pressing Escape+Play was needed in order to toggle it out of PT mode). Does it say "Welcome to Kyma.5" on the scribble strip? Do the names of the faders appear in the scribble strip? Do the faders jump to the same position they have in the VCS? Please explain what you meant when you said "40% of the knobs" are unused. Thanks! IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() the MM was a "monday model" (assembled after a party weekend) as we say in germany. i had it replaced at my dealer. now itīs ok. my kyma is still at the studio i has working for the last 8 weeks. iīll bring it home on friday. then i can mail the timeline. actually it doesnīt loop at all. no matter what sound i load. in this special case it was a modified version of the filtered noise trails sound (i think) Frank. ![]() ![]() ![]() Do you know if ProTools is outputting the time code in a loop? You can check this by looking at the time code display in the upper right corner of the DSP Status window. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Of course this was the first thing i checked. Allthough PT insnīt very good in handling tc issues, it can generate tc while looping. i could try outputting MTC. may be Kyma behaves differently then. this would be kind of difficult because there are no Midi tielines between the machine room and the edit suite. only audio, video, house sync and network for gefen systems monitor & keyboard boosters. frank.
