I want to create a patch that will play a bank of samples at a constant. I need the samples to play back at a random order while maintaining a constant bpm. I have tried the Random selection module which doesn't play back at a constant. Ultimatley I would like to have an engine loop that is not repetative. I have samples that are individual cylinders firing and I would like them to play randomly to form a constant idle. I am not worried about the acceleration aspect of the patch, but I just cant get a constant random cycle. Any help here would be much appreciated. Beyond that idea, I would like to add one more nuance to the patch; I would like to be able to "mix in" another sample that can play back randomly from 0% up to 50 (+/-)% of all samples played. This would be the sound of the engine backfiring. I have slaved over the Kyma for hours and hours trying to realize this concept but I'm yet unsuccesful.

Try these out. These are examples of choosing a sample at random from a folder of samples.
