Hi,

I just had the experience of creating a Sound that was too complex to run at 48 KHz. But when I compiled the sound to disk and then played that compiled sound, it runs just fine at 48 KHz with a little DSP power to spare.

Is this something that should generally be tried when running close to the limits? Or am I fooling myself, and the Sound is actually running at the slower sample rate where I was able to make the Sound Editor play?

When recording to disk, the compiler uses a slightly different algorithm when it discovers that the Sound to be recorded exceeds the capacity of the Capybara.

This algorithm can result in the Capybara being slightly less out of real time than it would be when compiled normally.
