Hello,

I was wondering, has Kyma been tested on Leopard? I'm tempted to give it a go, but was wondering if any testing had been done.

Perhaps you should hold off until we receive our official release version from Apple (expected any day now). We don't anticipate any major issues but you might as well give us a couple of days to work out any minor hitches before you take the plunge.

Hi,

I have tested it on a beta Leopard release, and it worked flawlessly. I will test it this week-end on the official release.

As SSC said, I would not install Leopard yet on a production system, though.

Best Regards,
Camille

Oh well. Just tried Kyma on my 20" iMac after installing Leopard and it wouldn't launch. Problem Report attached. Hopefully nothing serious.

Hi Larry,

Do you have installed custom fonts?
It seems there's a problem with loading one of your fonts.

Best,
Camille

Several people have reported the same problem (all the crash logs indicate a problem loading a particular font or file in the fonts folder). We think we have it fixed now and will be testing over the weekend. If all goes well, a new version of Kyma will be up soon (with a couple of new multichannel prototypes thrown in for good measure).

Kyma X.48 is available for download from tweaky. (Fixes the aforementioned font-reading issue on Mac and provides some additional multichannel Sounds on both platforms).

I just tested Kyma X.48 on Leopard and it works like a charm.
Thank you SSC!!!
I love the new stereo prototypes and the sound selector is very cool!

Does Leopard fix the core audio issues that were causing the Flame AV/C not to work on Intel machines?

AV/C works under Leopard. (AV/C has always worked on Intel machines. It was Apple's OS 10.4.10 software update that broke it.)

great news. a good reason for me to take the early plunge.

sorry about my wording, i meant the issues introduced with 10.4.10 not intel in general. sadly my machine was forced to be on 10.4.10 as iwork required it (which I need for work).
