I am based in Mexico City and I’m planning to stay some time in Berlin visiting some family and friends over there for one or two months. I would like to combine it with some sort of intensive course for sound design if there is any (here in Mexico there aren’t any serious courses available). I’ve been checking out the net, but I haven’t really come across something suitable.

I have some formal education in music, I love to compose and I like to incorporate all kinds of atmospheres into the things I do. And (as you Florian stated in another topic) I too want to blur the boundaries between music performance and sound design.

As far as I know (correct me if I’m wrong), Berlin is very popular for all kinds of music styles that incorporate advanced sound features, so I think that maybe there I could have the chance to expand and fine tune my skills in sound design.

Could you give me any advice on this? Is there any good institution or teacher I could contact where I don’t have to show multiple certificates and diplomas first in order to attend?

A few years ago one of the lecturers let me sit in on some courses as a guest student, which you could also try if you don't want to do the whole Diplom.
