Dearest Community.

It is a proud day for me personally and also for the London College of Music. We have taken delivery of two more Pacarana Systems. Adding to our original Kyma setup in our Postgraduate studio, we will now have one in a surround room for use by BA and MA Students, and another in the synthesis teaching studio. (where I spend much of my time)

When our original pacarana arrived, I coupled it together with my personal Pacarana to get a taste of the combined power!! I was able to push sample rates, voice counts etc much further.

My goal this time is to plug four pacarana units together.

Multichannel 192 khz crossfilter experiments?

Does anyone have any patches they want turned up to 11? Does anyone have any quirky ideas about how to harness such a ridiculous amount of power.

High resolution replicated polyphonous singularities?

I am starting to pull at threads, but convinced I am being too linear.

Will West London disappear in a wormhole?

Yours, pondering the possibilities.

Happy Days

Charlie

That sounds very exciting, congratulations on the increased complexity!

One of my early delights after I got my Pacarana was going through the folder in the library called (from memory) Weird Processor Intensive Stuff. Finally I could hear all these sounds that had been out of reach when all I had was an 8 processor Capy.

I was thinking recently that given many of us are using the new platform we could start collecting/sharing 'show-off' sounds - sounds that give a Paca(rana) a run for its money and showcase what's possible with the new platform.

Obviously sounds produced using 'Wormhole' clusters of Paca(rana)s can only be shared as mixdowns but a collection of show-off sounds would be a good starting point to develop some Wormhole sounds.
