![]() ![]() ![]() Hi all, I am interested in tracking the 'x', 'y' movements of the mouse and using them as a realtime input to control aspects of an inverse fft synthesis patch - I can't see any way to get the mouse co-ordinates at sample rate (or control rate for that matter)?? I guess someone must have done this before?? Any suggestions?? IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() The quickest way to do this would probably be to have MAX translate the mouse movements into MIDI and then feed the MIDI to Kyma. Alternatively, you could check into whether you could use Laurie Spiegel's Music Mouse software to translate mouse movements into MIDI. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() What about the "old" X/Y fader that was, I hear tell, part of the Virtual Control Surface long ago? Would re-implementing that help with folks who want to track X-Y info? Any chance of getting this feature back in any case? Vance IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() If you are on Windows 95/2K you can trace mouse movements with my program, SoftStep, which will pass the MIDI values on to Kyma. There is an online manual on the web site. Doc for the mouse interface is in the first group of modules, chapter heading "Values." John Dunn IP: Logged |
