ResoSynth.kym

Hi
Attached is a Resonator synth.

Mainly to emulate plucked instruments but can do other things.
BE VERY CARFULL WITH THE Add2D CONTROL. This can cause load feedback noises so use with care.

Still has a bit of a tuning problem so I'll have to revisit it some time.
Needs a keyboard or Dummy for mono version, and is aimed at pianists. Lo Mid and Hi refer to keyboard range in the resonator

Enjoy

Pete.

Produces a wide range of interesting Sounds(!) We suggest that people download and install Kyma X.33 (April 16 2006) before trying Pete's Sound as that version of Kyma includes a change to the DelayWithFeedback intended to fix the tuning problem he describes.

A request to Pete: could you please also post this to the Share section of tweaky? That way, it will be easier to locate in the future, long after this thread is no longer current.

Thanks for a beautiful Sound!

BTW

I don't think that DelayWithFeedback will cure this tuning problem but it would mean that portamento could be added. I'll put it there when it's gets finalised. Istill need to add output filtering and cure the tuning thing.

Thank you Pete. I am really enjoying this Sound, although am I allowed to say that I enjoyed it more before SSC fixed the tuning? Any chance of a toggle to switch the "tuning thing" back on????

Hi Robert
I haven't tried the new SSC fix yet. What was it that you you prefered ? Was it more out of tune ? If so you can move the retune slider to achieve out of tuneness or is it something else ?
Pete

In fact, your tuning slide also does work well for me. I hadn't spent long enough experimenting with it.... When I loaded your original one I heard the tuning problem you had described, and rather liked it! On loading the Sound in the new version of Kyma the first setting sounded in tune, but now that I've located your tuning slide we're back in business! It's a tremendous Sound: so many different flavours.... Thank you.
