TapeDelay.kym

I'm gettting the following message when I try to open a sound I've been working on

"Error: The message #forKymaBOSS, sent to nil, an instance of class UndefinedObject, was not understood"

I've had messages when tring to open a sound before but it has allways eventually opened. Here the sound doesn't actually open I just get the message.

I've attached the sound, can someone help?

Hmmm...Trying to figure out why this won't open. Which version of Kyma are you using? Which version were you using the last time you opened it and worked on it?

It seems to include a User defined class, is that correct? Does it have any true:false: CapyTalk expressions? (just looking for clues so anything more you can say about the Sound might be helpful)

Thanks!!

Yes it does contain a user defined class but no true false expressions.

I have upgraded to the feb '06 version of kyma, the version I originally built this with was from december last year, sorry I don't have a note of the correct version numbers.

stackTrace.txt

The same thing happened for me when I tried to open it. I have uploaded the stack trace for your attention.

Can you tell us the parameters for the user-defined class called TapeSaturator? (We are recovering your file by hand.)

TapeDelayRecovered.kym

Found that the class has two parameters and was able to recover the file. Here is the recovered file.

Is there anything you could tell us as to what we should not do in order to not come across this problem again. (It's just that I am sure that, once or twice, I have encountered a 'similar' poroblem, and so it would be good to learn from this one).

I think we've fixed it so it should no longer be possible in the next update.
