I designed this for a bigger idea that fades spectra, but I really enjoyed solving the problem in Kyma.. In other languages direction dependant switches and toggles are relatively straightforward using conditionals, but in Kyma I've solved it by counting triggers into an array! Gotta love CapyTalk

As I understand your Sound, you would like to fade back and forth between two Sounds, whenever you change a fader (in this case !Amp001). And you would like to be able to set the fade duration.

Another alternative would be to use:

(!Amp001 hasChangedInLast: 0.1 s) asToggle smooth: !FadeDur s

as the Fade parameter of the CrossFade.

Yes. That would do it in a very efficient way. But I was interested in having different fade shapes, and using a sample means I can use in exponentials, ramp with jitter, and I even had some nice results feeding the sample into a delay with feedback to create some interesting cross fades. All in the spirit of experimentation!
