![]() ![]() ![]() Hi everyone, I have try today to work with noisy sounds (ice cracks for example)and haven't been convinced on the results I get. All the transpositions technique gave me a lot of artefacts. I was wondering which technique do you guys use to transform this kind of sound? Actually, playing with rate with a disk player was nice but a simpler sampler can do this. So, I am looking for other types of transformation. Thx! ![]() ![]() ![]() If the source is broad-band, sometimes you can filter it to emphasize the highs (or lows) that are already present in the signal. This would give the impression of transposing it up (or down). Perhaps you could use a FilterBank to emphasize different parts of the signal. You could also try running it through a LiveSpectralAnalysis and feeding the result into a FilterBank whose input is white noise. This will let you slow it way down with compromising the brightness. Are you transposing it to shift the frequencies or to change its rate? IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() I tried the "Pitch-shifting EQ 3-band" and I have get a good result. I have also tried with Tau and by making subtle changes, I had good result. Another topic but I am unable to make a search on the forum...I always end up with a zero result.... IP: Logged |
