Hypothetically speaking (this is pure brainstorming at this point), what about the idea of a Kyma Conference? This would be an opportunity for people to make presentations on their work, participate in panel discussions, concerts, screenings. And there could be tutorial sessions preceding the conference itself. Would people be interested presenting something and hearing what other people have been up to? Or would intensive workshops be more valuable to people?

(btw, there are currently no plans to put on a conference...it's just idle confabulation at this point ;-)

I'd enjoy attending either type of session, but I think an immersive learning experience would be more valuable to me.

i like the conference idea. i was asking about the immersion mostly because i enjoyed meeting others last time and it is inspiring to see how others work with kyma.

I'd be interested in either, personally. I've been hoping that there'd be some sort of Immersion announced soon...

If I had the occasion, well I think I'd go for an immersion which I would find more friendly than conferences

The BCC would make an excellent venue.

(Berlin Conference Centre)

I'm not sure I can even process the distinction between the two.

but seriously - there really ought to be an EXHIBITION to run in parallel to the conference/immersion/workshop of the Capy / Kyma products.

I'm all for it, and I'm sure there'd be a few people interested here in the Netherlands. A conference/advanced workship/exhibition-concert would be great!

How about Paris in June next year after or before NIME? There is a whole month of activity in Paris at that time, exhibitions, concerts, conferences etc This might make an excellent oportunity for many of us to gather? Cheers Garth

I just bought my Kyma so I would certainly be interested in an immersion. But I think it is also worthwhile to learn what people who know how to use it are doing with it. Since I'm in the US I would like one there

How about a conference and immersion, with the latter divided into beginner/low intermediate, and upper intermediate/expert user sections?
I'm in New York, so if the air fare is reasonable could travel either east or west (so long as the local beer is tasty), but I would like plenty of advance notification.

My company (in So.Cal) is up to FIVE Kyma users and seven Capys (counting personal units)--- so I can bring a small army to an Immersion...

Is anyone keeping score? Hehehe.

Seriously, we would love to attend such a thing.
