Kyma is losing contact with Capybara quite often, producing "The Capybara-320 is not responding" messages (see attached archive) whilst using Wii Sounds (pitch space + espressivo and Tymoczko Dyads Orbifold (Equal Tempered & Discrete Triggers) in particular). I wonder if it might be OSCulator related because Kyma seemed to lose contact when there was a lot of Wii activity, i.e. shaking the Wii like mad I kept having to reinit the Capy and restart the sound. Any idea as to what the cause might be? [ G5 / OSX 10.5.2 / Kyma X.53 / OSCulator 2.5.2 ] P.S. I just noticed that a new version of OSCulator is out (thanks Cam!) ![]() ![]() ![]() Could you please double-check that you have the newest version of the Flame firmware? (newest of either AVC or non AVC). Older versions of the firmware could be overrun by the flood of OSC messages. IP: Logged | |

![]() ![]() ![]() Hey Andrew, It's true that when shaking the Wii, there's a bit more activity on OSCulator's side. There is an output filter in OSCulator that prevents Flame data flooding, but as SSC notes, this is tuned in accordance with the latest firmware. I'll will try you sound and see if I have the same problem on my running configuration.
