![]() ![]() ![]() just wondering from what did you upgrade from? and how the speed increase compares to your old machine. I'm really noticing my Dual G5 (2GHz) is often pushed to its limit and an upgrade to a newer mac model is getting necessary - although working with limited CPU does make you more creative in finding workarounds IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Hi, I upgraded from MacMini G4 PowerPC... could you imagine the improvement? ![]() I have not tested a Dual G5 2GHz, but this Mini goes very well, it starts quickly, I put on it HD video without problems and analysis from Kyma editors also are fast. It's great to have two displays and it's very silent. I anybody it's interested I recommend to go for the 4GB of RAM, the speed improvement is noticeably, and graphics card will work with 256 MB. I'm very happy with this new MacMini, FIrewire is stable no issues at all. Regards IP: Logged |
