With the imminent arrival of Kyma.X and its exciting new features I feel a very important oversight has been made, and I think all fellow Kymites will share my worries on this issue.

With my current Capybara-320 matching mug rapidly approaching obsolescence - it's 'Kyma' logo is barely legible anymore - I was wondering if a new Kyma mug is in development too? and will it be backwards compatible with Kyma.5?

Yours concerned, Andrew

Drinkware research and development is now underway! We have verified lossless transfer of fluids left in the Kyma.5 mug into the X-mug (we cannot guarantee lossless transfers in the other direction). We do have a limited number of soon-to-be-collectors' items Kyma.5 mugs available (you can take them to Antiques Roadshow for appraisal). Or you can order one now for $4 (plus shipping). (New model may cost a bit more, depending on how many colors we end up using in the artwork).

Not sure what the import duties are on drinkware--perhaps it is classified as a computer-operator peripheral? Or a repair/replacement for the one with faded lettering?

Thanks for the info - the lossless transfer is an especially welcome feature. I might be able to get the original one fixed - they're hard to find but I know a cocoa developer who could rewrite its teaprom....
