hi,
my name is knut and I should like to say hello to you:-)
and now here is my beginner question:
I have a konnekt 24d as the interface of paca which is connected directely with paca (firewire800 to 400 cable). I connected the paca to the backside firewire 800 port of my mac pro. my computer audio interface(saffire pro 24) is connected to the backside firewire 400 port of my computer and then I connected a adat cable from konnekt24d to pro 24. I have followed the instructions on the tweaky page (http://www.symbolicsound.com/cgi-bin/bin/view/Learn/KonnektSetUp) and installed/unstalled the konnekt24d software but there is no way to get saffire in master clock mode without typical digital distorsion in paca's audio signal. how could i solve this problem?
thank you
knut

In order for the Saffire to be the source of the master clock, I think you also have to send that clock back to the Konnekt 24D. Alternatively, the 24D can be the source of clock (sent as part of the ADAT signal).

In case it's helpful, someone else seems to be using your exact same set up here: http://www.symbolicsound.com/Learn/ExamplePacaranaSetups

pro 24 has only one adat in and there is no adat out so i can not send that clock back to konnekt24d, isn't it?

Yes and choose S\PDIF as the clock source in Kyma (for the TC).

Great news! (I've added a description of your set up to: http://www.symbolicsound.com/Learn/ExamplePacaranaSetups . If you have a minute, could you please check that the write up is correct? If not, you can edit it by clicking the Edit button at the top of the page. Thank you for your help!)

great idea!
i have changed only one thing: mac pro has only one backside firewire 800 port so i`ve connected mac pro's backside firewire 400 port to saffire pro 24. thats all.
