Thankyou Kyma Scientists for sharing the fantastic Tau!! It really brings a whole new Sonic world to Kyma - complex enough for incredible sound sculpture, yet easy to use - big thankyou for your work. The Fantasy Gallery is a really cool idea. Inspiration pure!

A couple of issues:

1) Could the default morph fader names be changed for example to: !MpfA, !MpfF, !MpfP, !MpfS and !MpfT because currently the MotorMix display 5x "Mrph" faders.

2) Unable to Open .tau file when file type is set to 'Any openable file' in 'Open...' dialog box.

Error message: "Kyma does not recognize that type of file."

When file type is set to 'Tau file', the file is opened without any problems.

3) I've had Kyma crash once and has hung twice (had to Force Quit Kyma) whilst importing a sample file (each less than 10s in duration) into the Tau editor. I repeated again with the same sample files and they were loaded / analysed fine so I can't say what the cause was.

Best regards,
Andrew

Thanks Andrew!

And thanks for the reports. We will have an incremental update soon.

You say that you crashed once--could you please email us the crash reporter log? (You can get it from the console program).

I wish there were a way to batch process files - I'd love to have it do a folder overnight. Maybe a future tool? It could just use the analysis parameters that it comes up with, or let you set them for all the files before you go off for the night and let it do its thing.

Looks like 'Default FolderX' was the culprit - since disabling it, Kyma hasn't crashed or hung whilst importing sample files into the Tau editor.

Thanks for the tip!
Andrew
