![]() ![]() ![]() Hey all, I am not an expert user so I would appreciate any help someone might want to give. I use my Capy as a sampler sometimes... pretty much using a straightforward KeyMapped Multisample setup, one per key. Recently, I tried to assign multiple samples to a given key and tried to make it do velocity switching for specific velocity ranges using "equality" with two constants plugged into it, one constant being !KeyVelocity, and the other being the centerpoint of a specific vel. range at which the sample would sound. Then, I reasoned, I could tweak the value until a specific range of velocity values sounded for each sample. In practice, however, I really couldn't figure out what was going on. It seemed as if the response was entirely haphazard. Even running a MIDI file from my sequencer produced different results with each pass. Questions: 1) Why didn't this work? 2) What's a better way to do velocity switching? Thanks to any responders. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() If you can set the velocity in the AIFF file itself, then you could use the Velocity field in the KeyMappedMultiSample. (See KeyMappedMultiSampleCelloWithVelocity in the prototypes). To edit the velocity range, open the sample in the Sample editor and click the Elipsis (...) button. IP: Logged |
