Something like the attached Sound? (using a Sine wave to generate the index as if a pendulum were swinging through the stages).

That is a cool idea too. It could create interresting rythmic structures...
but what i thought of was a simple Expression for forward<->backward for the AnalogSequencer.

I came up with the solution in the attached file ... comparing the current step to the Start- + EndIndex...but maybe their is a much easier and stylish way to do it. anyone any idea about this?
I am just learning CapyTalk and i believe that i still "think" to much in (Java and Objectiv-C)... ;-)

in SSC concept, replace the sine with a triangle and you get the smooth back and forth.

in the AnalogSequencer, one idea may be to use an asToggle function to cycle between -1 and 1 and multiple against the Rate. Set the Toggle duration to one cycle of your sequence.

Cool example, Christian!
Using !Direction to toggle the sign of Rate is probably the best way to do this (as you have already done and keph was suggesting)
