I am starting to try and get Kyma to sync to external sequencers - are there any suggestions as to how to trigger a timeline to play (in time) according to a MIDI machine control message?

One possibility would be to put a WaitUntil at the beginning of one of the empty tracks and set its Resume condition to !KeyDown. Then you could send a single note on that MIDI channel to trigger the start.
