![]() ![]() ![]() Hi all, happy new year everybody !!!!! it's my first post , and i'm a new user of Kyma with the pacarana and a motu Ultralite mk3. I'm sound designer and sound editor for movie, so i want to sync kyma with my system. I'm working with Pyramix and Vcube from Merging Technologie. First i try to sync Kyma with this system with a MTC signal which arrive on the Motu, the status windows shows the good Miditimecode entering but impossible to sync the timeline.... I read that it's not possible or somehting like that in the forum.... So i try to enter a LTC timecode ( SMPTE ) via the analog input of the motu but here is the problem.... to configure the right analog input for the Smpte of the Motu i must install the drivers of the Motu and a little program "Smpte Config", but when i do this a firewire conflict appears between the Pacarana and the Motu, then the soft Kyma can't be launched... So it's impossible to sync Kyma with the movie... Is somebody know the solution ? Thanks a lot. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Hi Samy! Your MTC solution ought to work. On the left side of the Timeline, there is a drop down menu where it says 'Free Running' (it is just above the Track names). When you click this menu, you can change it to Timecode: MIDI or SMPTE. Press Spacebar or Ctrl+Spacebar to arm the Timeline. The yellow time cursor will not move until you send MTC to Kyma. Then it should jump to the correct time code. Is this the procedure you were following? What happens when you press the space bar and then send MTC? Thanks! (and welcome to the Kyma forum!) ![]() ![]() ![]() Thanks, please let us know the result. (In answer to your question, no, Kyma cannot generate timecode for output.) IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() The synchro with MTC works fine ![]() In fact, there was no sound anymore at the timecode played, so the timeline has stopped at the end of sound... thanks a lot IP: Logged |
