Would it not be a good idea to have some kind of Sound Exchange files list-page?
An alias for every contributed Sound, with maybe the first two lines of the text and/or a link to the original mail.

I agree. The topology of this forum is such that multiple sounds can be buried in single threads, and there is no obvious searching or cataloging procedure.

As time goes by, it will become progressively more difficult to locate contributed sounds.

I may not need a particular sound right now, but six months from now I might. I might remember someone contributing it, but could I find it in the Forum?

No, the Forum only supports 12 uploads per login ID. So if you don't grab them while they're hot, then you may loose them for good, if the poster is prolific enough...

Seems like a great idea. Does someone want to volunteer to organize the Sounds that have been posted so far?

You could gather related Sounds into a single Sound file and post those Sound files in the Kyma Sound Exchange forum by topic.
