![]() ![]() ![]() I'm having trouble with my Intuos5 tablet. Sometimes when I am using the tablet in Kyma, all of a sudden I won't be able to adjust some of the parameters. When this happens, I my whole computer gets kind of stuck. Nothing happens when I use the touch pad on my actual computer. I need to force quit out of Kyma and then restart the computer to get the functionality back. I am using Intuos control panel version 6.3.4-3, and driver version 6.3.4-3. Is there some setting I have overlooked that could be causing this behavior? IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Could you please try moving the pen away from the tablet and then back into range, and then using pen button 1 to see if the cursor tracks the Wacom pen? Does the Wacom mouse stop working as well? When you are stuck, try going to the Wacom tablet in the System Preferences and choose the diagnostics to see if the basic driver communications works. ![]() ![]() ![]() I had the same problem this morning and this is what I learned. I moved the pen away from the tablet and then brought it back as you suggested, but it did not fix the issue. I clicked on the pen buttons but nothing registered. This is probably due to the fact that I had disabled both buttoms in the wacom system preferences pane. Should I not disable the buttons? The tracking pad on both the wacom and the computer DO move the mouse. The problem is that my computer isn't registering when I click on the tracking pad. Also, the keys stop working. So I can't quit the sound with command K. I can use the keyboard to force quit. But once I do that, my computer still doesn't recognize when I click on the tracking pad / wacom tablet. I couldn't get into the diagnostics under system preferences because I couldn't click on the apple to get to the system preference. The other thing to mention is that when I would restart the computer, the wacom tablet wasn't recognized. In the wacom section of the system preferences, it said that there was a problem with the driver. I went to wacom and they did have a newer version of the driver, 6.3.5-3. I have installed it and so far everything is OK, though the issue was sporadic. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() This may or may not be relevant to your case, but I have sometimes seen this happen when the mouse is too near the Intuos. In other words, the signal from the Intuos mouse can interfere with the signal from the pen. Sometimes I have to put the mouse onto the pad, click the scroll wheel button, and lift up the mouse and place it out of range in order to disengage it from the tablet. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() The new driver has not fixed the problem. This time when the problem happened, I did notice that when I press command K, up on the top menu bar the DSP drop down menu highlights blue. Which means that it is recognizing the key command. But the sound doesn't stop playing and I have no other recourse then to force quit and shut down the paca. It's frustating, because I used to use a wacom graphire tablet and I never had this issue. But ever since I've upgraded to the Intuos5, I've been having this problem. I would try the mouse trick you suggested, but unfortunately the Intuous5 didn't come with a mouse. I tried to use my graphire mouse, but that didn't do anything. I'm using a USB extender cable to the tablet. Could this cause an issue? IP: Logged |
