Friends: I've posted some new Kyma music on my website for your perusal at http://www.otownmedia.com/he/kymaworksWDFH.htm .

The tracks are recordings from a live radio concert from last Spring
using Kyma, lap steel, and Haken Continuum. I hope you enjoy them,
and of course you are encouraged to check out my other music and
films as well. Thanks.

Hi Richard

Can I ask what the basic sound generating algorithm or technique is that you use on "The Tiger's Dream". I've been trying to get that range of sounds.

Or is that rude of me to ask you to reveal your secrets ?

Pete

Not at all, and I wish I could take credit for it, but it's the Pluck4 Sound created by Ed Eagan. It's available on the Tweaky under Continuum Sounds. I tweaked the settings a little, but it's pretty much the straight sound, with only a little reverb from the MasterVerb AU running on my Powerbook.

I want to thank you, Pete, by the way, for your CrossFilter - it's what I used in all the versions of Cranes Fly West to process the lap steel. The lap steep is first processed with long delays and reverbs in the Powerbook, then sent through the CrossFilter, so what you hear is the direct output from the Sound. So thanks!

Thank you all for your kind words, and I'm very glad you've all enjoyed the music. I'm only a beginner with Kyma, but there's so much you can do, even as a beginner, with this wonderful system.
