![]() ![]() ![]() Hi, I have a timeline that chases LTC. It works fine when I compile load & play it normally (i.e., while the timeline is open in Kyma). I would like to find a way to leave the timeline running on Kyma even with the computer disconnected from the capybara, if possible. In other words, I'd like to be able to start the timeline, then unplug the computer and have the timeline continue to run as usual. If I close the timeline file after compile/load/play of the timeline, then the timeline appears to keep running, but seems no longer to chase timecode. If I "compile to disk" the timeline, and then Play the compiled sound file (with the timeline file itself not open in Kyma), the DSP status indicates that it is running (the processors are active in the way that is usual for this timeline), but again it seems not to chase timecode. In other words, it seems that the timeline window itself must be open in order for the timeline to chase timecode. Is this correct? Is there any way to leave such timeline running with the Kyma app closed? FWIW, this timeline has an empty VCS... Thanks, -Luddy IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() I'm sorry but the Timeline itself is responsible for comparing timecode time to Capybara time. So the Timeline has to be open for chasing to work. ![]() IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Oh, interesting. Does the timeline resolve drift between word clock and time code also? -Luddy IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() No, in that case, word clock is synchronizing sample rates, not Capybara "event time". IP: Logged |
