CapyLink is a free OSX application that allows Delora Software's popular vKiP, vKi and vKi lite control surface applications to be used with Capybara-based Kyma systems. vKi and vKi lite, for the iPhone/iPod touch, bring one-hand, remote Virtual Control Surface (VCS) control to Kyma X, while vKiP turns the iPad into a full featured wireless multi-touch Kyma control surface. CapyLink is a small Mac OSX user agent program that is simple to set up and can run quietly in the background for use automatically at log-in, making Kyma remote control always at hand. Up to now, vKi, vKiP and vKi lite could only be used with Paca or Pacarana based systems, because only the Paca and Pacarana have "Midi over OSC" features that allow communications between those apps and Kyma. CapyLink provides the communications link that empowers Capybara owners with the benefits of Delora's wireless control surface applications. CapyLink requires a Symbolic Sound Capybara 320 sound engine, and an Intel or G5 Mac running Leopard or Snow Leopard (G5s only supported on Leopard). CapyLink is free and available at www.delora.com. vKi ($9.95), vKi lite (free) and vKiP ($39.95) are available on the iTunes App Store. Doug Douglas Kraul IP: Logged |

Just wanted to let everyone interested in CapyLink know that the CapyLink feature has been integrated into our newest Kyma product, KymaConnect. KymaConnect includes a number of features that Capybara users should find interesting, like its MIDI patch bay that manages up to four external MIDI devices. KymaConnect works with both Capybaras and Paca(rana)s, and can manage both if your studio is so blessed. You can find more information about KymaConnect in another recent post by that subject, or just head here: www.delora.com Thanks, Doug Douglas Kraul
