Hi there!

I've discover the hard way some functions I can use with MotorMix Attachev to Capybara:
Changing presets with the rightmost rotatory, fine-tuning fader values with SHIFT+[can't remember] ...
but... Is there any doc explaining ALL features accessible through MotorMix??

*another question is: How can I sort Faders in the VCS so they match desired fader on the MotorMix?

*What Can I do if If I accidentally delete any fader? How do I bring it back again?

* can I set some VCS so that it does not get modified if I add new sounds to the left of the sound it belongs to? I made a VSC for a Mixer sound with controllable PANs and Levels, and I have to edit it every time I add sounds to it's inputs because it all gets messed with new faders from those new sounds!

Thanks in advance!

Sam

Page 23 of the Kyma.5 Walkthrough has a section called "Interaction with the Virtual Control Surface and the MotorMix". You can access the Kyma.5 Walkthrough (as well as all of the rest of the documentation) from choosing Documentation from the File menu.

By default they will be arranged in alphabetical order, so you can either unlock the VCS and move the faders to the desired positions, or you can change the names of the hot parameters so that they sort alphabetically into the order you want.

If you unlock the VCS, you can choose Show Hidden Widgets from the Option pop up menu in the VCS editor.

Again, using the unlock to edit the VCS, you can make a copy of the layout you want to preserve (you may also want to rename it). The top level layout will always be altered by the Sounds you put to the left, but the copy will not be changed. You can always select that layout using the pop-up list on the upper right of the VCS.

Hmmm: When I delete a fader, and then use the "show hidden widgets" command, I do NOT see the deleted fader re-appear. I have done this more times than I care to remember and often have to go through great trouble (deleting a small sound from the larger sound I am editing) to trick the Kyma into re-building a whole new VCS. Then I have to go through the whole process of moving and resizing all of the faders again.

Here is another VSC related issue-might also be MM related: When I place sounds into a Compiled Sound Grid, compile it to disk, start the CSG, and then click on one of the sounds contained in the CSG, much of the time all of my VCS settings disappear. SOME sounds don't seem to have this problem.
If I had, for example, 150 widgets on the VCS that I had spent hours re-naming, resizing, scaling, and I use that sound in a compiled sound grid, I will typically loose all but two or three of those widgets... they just don't show up on the VCS. Since this is a CSG, I can't edit the sound or the VCS at that point.
HOWEVER, if I double click on the sound, opening the sound editor from inside the CSG, and run the sound from in the sound editor, then all of my VCS settings will be OK.
