hello

i was attempting to use pete's micro sounds but during the process of loading in the .asy file i receive the message " there was an error assembling the file ... ( i have tried all the ones available on the tweaky) or the program segment named Additonal microsound classes is not in the user microsound classes file. "

i have a copy of Pete's modules and i have redownloaded Davids and these files are in the folder with the asy files. BTW Christians prototypes work fine. but i had to remove pets dsp modules for it to work.

kyma 6.72 and 6.73

its late hopefully i am just missing something obvious

thanks

rafe

Hi Rafe,

There's not enough program memory to load all of CAG, David, and Pete's microsounds at the same time. Could that be the source of the problem? Are you able to load Pete's microsounds on their own, without the other two sets?

Hi Rafe
Davids code is a sub set of pete's microsounds (david added his into my code because that used to be the only way to have two sets running at the same time). If you try to load both davids and petes at the same time you are actually loading davids code twice. This will make all the labels have two values.

Loading both will not work but I'm not actually sure that this is the problem you are having.

BTW green tea looper code has both david and mine included.

Pete

hello pete and ssc

i have both the file petesdspMods29403 and the folder cagrel4 along with "petes User microsound classes.asy" and Christians (i think as it was a previous download) "user microound classes.asy" in the same folder and loaded and working - i can open up any file that requires these prototypes and all works as expected.

you are likely correct Pete in that i had a file named petedavidUSERCODE.asy which would give me the error message when i had it and a (perhaps older) copy of PetesDSPMods sound file in that folder.

thanks

rafe

i am a little unclear on the file organization of the microsounds on the tweaky - perhaps this can be cleared up.

the link beside David's micro sounds includes both Davids and Pete's asy code but where are Davids prototypes? shouldn't there be a separate file similar to Pete and Christian's?

Hi Rafe

There is no pool of davids modules for his microsounds as such. David used microsounds in some of the examples he posted on the forum a long time ago.

If you search the forum for Davids posting you may find examples that make use of his microcode. I think they were a little more tailored for a special need he had at the time.

Maybe some other have a better memory of where his code is used and maybe the modules could be pulled out and pooled together.

Pete
