![]() ![]() ![]() Could you please explain how to relate the 0 to 1 range of the "bandwidth" parameter ( as used in a Vocoder or FormantBank ) to an actual range of frequencies. e.g. - When set to "1" in a Vocoder, do the bandpass filter responses overlap at the -3dB point, regardless of how many bands are being used? ![]() ![]() ![]() Yes, in theory, bandwidth set to one means that the 3 dB points overlap between bands. For non-zero values of bandwidth, it is a linear frequency scale. This means that if the 3 dB bandwidth of one of the vocoder channels is 100 hz, a bandwidth parameter value of 0.25 means a filter bandwidth of 25 hz. IP: Logged |
