WARNING: Be very careful not to accidentally invert the FireWire plug when connecting any FireWire device. This holds for ANY FireWire connector, whether it is on your computer, on a disk drive, or on the Flame interface. Plugging in the connector upside down *will* destroy the FireWire interface chip inside. So pay close attention whenever connecting a FireWire device. Don't try to force it if it does not go in easily (good advice to live by, in any case).
