Here is an attempt to synthesize the sound of a heartbeat. The idea was to create an impulse and then trigger it in the 1:8 duration ratio pattern (short-long) of a heartbeat.

One of the examples puts an enveloped noise burst into a resonant low pass filter. You can adjust resonance and cutoff for different pitches and resonances and adjust the BPM for the heart rate. The other example plays back an impulse directly (with an envelope on it).

Improvements/variations are welcome (more than welcomed...they are invited! :-)
