Hi,
unfortunately the magnetic driven hammer installation doesn't know any polyphony.
But one could fake this by adding an almost inaudible tiny delay between the simultaneous pressed keys (note-on events) - so tiny that you won't hear it as flams. In the midi world true polyphony is serial anyway, do I remember this correctly? Still, this 'serialism' is too much for this installation. It seems as if I have to add more micro-delay.
Is it possible to accomplish this with kyma?
Best,
Flor

Do the hammers need triggers only, or do they need to be held "down" for the length of time that the MIDI keyboard key is held down?

No, the hammers are like triggers, pressed-down state doesn't make a
difference.

Sorry, maybe I said it a little-bit sloppy. The hammers only need triggers, a 'held-down' state isn't possible with the mechanics used;
with respect to the hammers this wouldn't make any sense, because they would damp themselves.
