Suppose I have a sound that creates a private, in memory, sample using a MemoryWriter. This sample is referenced by one or more oscillators. What happens when I apply one of the poly/replicators to it (for example MidiVoice with polyphony set to 4). Specifically:

1. Are the MemoryWriters replicated?
2. Does the name of the private sample need to be parameterized by voice number (append ?VoiceNumber)?
3. What happens if the private sample name is not parameterized? Do all the readers then reference the same memory, and does that memory reflect the most recent note event (if MidiVoice was used)?
4. Did this policy change at some point? I have a vague recollection...

Thanks,

Doug

If you use:

'recording' & ?VoiceNumber

as the RecordingName in the MemoryWriter and as the Wavetable in the Oscillator, then you will be assured of independent blocks of memory when you add a MIDIVoice or Replicator.
