![]() ![]() ![]() Hi, Any hopes for a timeline that could slave to a Rewire host? Would be excellent to get the timeline to sync and loop to host without any hassles. M IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Checked it out on wikipedia - seems to be quite a lot of slaves and hosts to rewire these days: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ReWire IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Reading about the new Pacarana I get a feeling that streaming MIDI and audio to a host would be very good idea indeed. But, maybe a bit OT here on the KYMA forum, how do you stream from a host to KYMA in such a case? Or is Rewire only one-way? ![]() ![]() ![]() there's a flame firmware that makes the Capybara look like a CoreAudio interface to mac os x. You can then aggregate this virtual device with your audio hardware. Then choose one of the virtual outputs of the Capy as the send from the DAW, and one of the virtual ins of the Capy as return to the DAW. In kyma you need to place the appropriate modules into your sound (included with the firmware download). Same goes for MIDI, though MTC isn't currently transmitted to the Capy. Probably doesn't work this way with the Pacarana as there is no Flame. Ideally, you'd simply insert a "tunneling" plug-in in your DAW, that sends to and receives from the Kyma DSP, much like with the UAD/Duende etc plugs; maybe even draw the VCS in the plug-in GUI ?. Although ReWire would obviously have the advantage of also tunneling (sample accurate?) song position and machine control etc. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() I would be interested in this too, would definitely be useful to sync with Pro Tools... Although the audio would still presumably be one way, as it'd be the same as with Max/MSP, i.e. you could only receive audio into Pro Tools from Kyma, not as an "insert"... So you'd still be using a hardware interface for audio, but presumably it would be useful to lock the Kyma timeline to your PT session? IP: Logged |
