When I first power up my pacarana the DSP meters only show 2 processors, only after I start Kyma X does the pacarana correctly diplay 4 DSP sections. Is this normal behaviour?

Yes, the front panel firmware initially displays 2 processors; once Kyma starts up it can ask for the actual number of processors.
