![]() ![]() ![]() I've managed to get myself stumped trying to play David's new bandpass filters. After unzipping the file, it was "invisible" thru the choose microsound menu. Being on a Mac, I guessed the file needed to be imported first. After importing, the file is visible, but results in an error message ("you did not choose a microsound"). I tried it twice (downloading again) with the same results. Any tips? Thanks- Mark IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() I wonder if it has to do with line-end conventions. The .ASY file is actually a little text file, and on the PC we often have only Newline (0x0A) or the combination CarriageReturn + Newline (0x0D 0x0A). I haven't used a Mac in a while, but back when I was developing code for it I remember that Apple settled on the convention that only CarriageReturn would be used (0x0D). Not sure what "Importing" does, but there is also the issue with the Mac that all files have two forks -- a data fork and a resource fork. (at least that's how it used to be). PC files only have one fork (usually -- NT supports multiple forks but this is little known). I wish I could be more helpful here... - DM IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() To use on a mac, change the name of the microsound file to: "User Microsound Classes" without quotes IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Yes, you need to import the file and then rename it as "User Microsound Classes" in order to use it on the Macintosh. IP: Logged |
