![]() ![]() ![]() Hi im having a weird issue with my capybara, almost every time i start the soft i got an error saying capybara is not responding error number (0) and cant be initialize sometimes i just hit reload and nothing happens then i just hit cancel and wait for the pacarana to be initialize if that succeed then i try to select capy as audio interface in the dsp status and sometimes its about it that works but not always, sometimes i keep pressing cancel and kyma does not respond it is just doing something but it gets stuck ¨thinking¨my pointer gives me the clock icon but is is still doing something because if i go to mac menu and hit the quit app thing kyma doesnt show as not responding its still working but takes a lot of time doing what its doing what ever it is. sometimes a text file opens up saying a bounch of things i dont understand because is a file i should send to you if problem arise again but it reads that it could be a problem with my sounds but i dont think so because i have not make any changes on any sound and the system used to be working fine. I really don't know what wrong i also tried to check for a bad plugged cable but seems thats not the issue, I also have a mackie onyx 1220i firewire mixer i use with my daw while the capy works as audio interface with kyma and probably that could be the issue somehow i think they might be interfering each other , sometimes i first launch kyma and select pacarana as dsp and capy as audio etc and when that ready i launch my daw which is live and then i turn on the onyx so they are not fighting to get the audio interface, sometimes that works but not always. today for example i just turned capy and paca on then launch kyma with onyx not turned on and i got the same message capy not responding. i also notice that if i try to for example use the capy as audio output and the onyx as audio input it does not allow me to do that if i change any of those kyma automatically change both audio in and out to the same card i cant mix different audio devices. my system is prety much the same as when all was working fine I just installed a couple of antispyware but i think thats irrelevant isnt it? no updates in os and anything i can recall right now.
thanks a lot for your time !!!!!!! IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() As a first step, please disconnect everything but the Capybara, Pacarana, and computer. This will narrow things so we can pinpoint the source of the problem. Thanks! IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Hi again I have been trying to determine the problem all day this are my findings: I first tried to determine if it was a physical problem so I made different configurations, connecting in different orders the cables and devices in the chain, I also did what you said to connect only paca and capy to my computer even i tried to connect only the capybara and computer and use it old fashion but didnt work so i tried to find out if the problem was my cable since i tried to use only pacarana and my mackie onyx as audio device for kyma to see if the capy was the problem then kyma failed to use onyx as audio device then i went to the store and got a new cable but the problem was still there , so i now know is not a physical issue at least not a cable issue
i manage to make it work as i said before first when i got the capy can initialize problem i cancel several times (because kyma keeps asking this even after cancel the action) when finally kyma gave up i went to dsp and selected pacarana ( for some reason kyma always try to use flame first) then when paca was stablished as dsp then in the status i selected capybara as audio interface and it works ( but not always sometimes this does not work at all) then i tried to run a timeline and after few minutes sound crashed and gave me that repetitive sound that happens when you disconnect the interface and sound is running and a new error message appeared saying unhandled firewire bus reset or a firewire error (22) weird thing is that every time i got this errors i checked the system info under about this mac firewire and the pacarana and capy both are there is not like the computer does not see any of the devices in another try using just the capy i got the message saying error: the message #at: ifAbsent: sent to nil, an instance of class undefined object, was not understood. i tried again and i was able to use capy as dsp but when i tried to switch to pacarana using the status window pacarana wasnt available and the pacarana screen was reading searching for audio interfaces I have notice before that sometimes when kyma was working fine when i started the app sometime i heard carlas voice saying kyma as when i used capybara alone and sometimes i didnt get that voice as if kyma used pacarana first instead i dont know it was quite random at least i cant find any pattern on that. after several tests trying different order of turning on devices and different firewire sockets and cables finally anything was working then i just powered off and on again the flame and then i was able to work but I guess this does not solve the problem just allowed me to work until problem arise again . my flame has been always in the same spot and i dont connect and disconnect it at all so it should be in good condition I dont think is a hardware issue with the flame it has not been damage in any way ( does it have expiration date? lol) some how i think the system is just getting confuse about which interface and which dsp configuration to use because any of this problems where present when it was just the capy doing both jobs i just wish there is a software where you could manage this different interfaces to allow kyma to get or not get a selected device because if i want my daw and kyma to work with interfaces like motu etc its getting confusing on configurations and i cant work in just kyma with out using my daw because i can not connect my other audio devices and i cant use just my daw without my beloved kyma lol so i also attached 2 files i got when the errors happened one is with the capybara alone and the other i was using pacarana and capybara together i hope it helps. i cant perform any further test as my knowledge ends here haha so please just tell me what to do next thanks alot for your time and patience.
