![]() ![]() ![]() How can I get a VCS fader to animate in response to the values in a parameter field in the Sound Editor? I have a random number generator in a parameter field that will generate a new value on each beat and I want to track the output on each slow beat both visually in the VCS and numerically. ![]() ![]() ![]() I think I figured this out- I use a 'Constant' as the input to the parameter field I want to animate and then a 'Sound to Global Controller' with its Value field having that same Constant as its parameter. This makes the Generated Event's !Readout display the expression in the Constant which can then easily be made into a Fader with a number readout in the VCS. Yes? IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Yes, that works. Or you could skip the Constant altogether; the generated value of the SoundToGlobalController can be used in the Sound's parameter field directly. For example, if you have the SoundToGlobalController generating !Freq, then you could use !Freq in the parameter field of your Sound and it will both use that value and display the value.
