Steve, you inspired us with your attention to detail, consistency, quality and design. We were with you since Apple II and we saw you take Apple to the pinnacle. You gave it one hell of a fight these past few years and we wish you could have seen the new Apple star ship building become a reality.

Yes, a very sad day. I'll never forget being blown away using an Apple Mac for the first time and playing around with the cursor and an marching ants marquee. The products that Apple produce, have personally touched my life, whether that was writing up my degree in 1995 on a PowerBook or writing music and creating motion graphics on an iMac. Thank you Steve for making computing so much fun and vital. You touched my soul.

He's inspired us all. I got my start as a programmer at age 12 on an Apple II.
