I usually have my audio interface set to 96 kHz since I find it sounds better in many cases. Almost all the sounds I have been using so far are running smoothly on the Pacarana, thanks to its great power. However, I have been surprised by a rather simple sound that processes a sound through a long CrossFilter. This sound would not run at 96 kHz. I believe the response has a duration time of 0.8 s. I have tried different solutions to optimize this sound, but its simple structure makes it difficult to change it radically. I remembered that the CrossFilter was one of memory intensive sounds that would not run so well on the Pacarana, so one solution has been to uncheck the Stereo checkbox in the CrossFilter, and convert the sound to a dual stereo sound (see attached). It worked, but I was curious to know if there was a possibility to improve the CrossFilter in order to avoid to convert all the sounds that are using this algorithm. (I can still run the Pacarana at 44.1 kHz as well …).
