Hi, this isnt a major issue by any means but is annoying at times. I realise the setup interface probably isnt accessed an awful lot after initial setup but as I only received my unit a short time ago I'm still in the setup phase.

Is there a way to tone down or turn off the scrolling action front panel menu on my pacarana. My unit seems extremely sensitive to touch and makes it very hard to select individual functions. Most of the time when I try to select a function the sensitivity causes the menu to start scrolling the menu wildly. Also, options are selected a lot of the times without me even pressing the strip and my finger hovering over it.

Maybe an option to turn off the scrolling of the screen altogether and allow the strips left and right edges to act kind of like cursor keys could be added in a future update.

Or is there a way to turn down the sensitivity of the strip that I'm missing?

Regards,
Andy

Unfortunately, there isn't a sensitivity adjustment. Maybe there are some techniques that would make it behave better?

For example, if you approach it straight on, with one finger extended like you're pointing, that might prevent it from picking up on the rest of your hand or fist. Then when you make a selection, move your hand straight back instead of off to one side or the other?

Another tip, when you first turn on the Paca(rana), wait until the "Calibrating" message goes away. During calibration, the touch strip is compensating for nearby objects that might otherwise set it off. If you touch the strip or come close to the strip when it is calibrating, that can mess up the calibration.

(Or mabye you have unusually high capacitance?
