Hello! I have one Pacarana in one studio which is working perfectly fine. The other one in the other studio has a constant networking problems when using Kyma control.(vKip working fine!?) As in another thread described the Kyma control finds the pacarana, but displays the small red Exclamation mark (sometimes disappearing for a moment). The controls sometimes appear, and i get a varying delay between half a second and approx. 3 seconds when tryimng to control the VCS or sending Note messages from the Kyma contyrol. We have changed the cables multiple times. We have tried to connect the pacarana directly to the MacBook pro running the PacaConnect software(after setting up a ad hoc wifi network). And we have tried to connect the pacarana to a router which is connected to the ipad per wifi. I still assume that the cables are the problem. What exactly are the cable standards that should be used? IP: Logged |

Have you tried temporarily swapping the Ethernet cables between the two studios? Just to see if that is the source of the problem? (Any other differences between the rooms? Routers? Possible sources of wireless signal interference?) IP: Logged |

If you're connecting the Pacarana directly to a Computer you should use a Cross-Over Ethernet cable rather than a normal one where you would connect devices via a Router. Also, is each Pacarana attached to the same router? And if so, do they have different IP adresses assigned to them - otherwise conflicts will occur. Thanks a lot, i didn't have the possibility to swap to cables by now, but thats what i plan to do.. I just wanted to ask if there could be any further problems. There are various differences between the two studios, except the Laptop. Both are Macbook Pros. The two studios are some kilometers away from each other(one is mine, the other one is just where i work for somebody else). Therefore, different router, entirely different situation regarding interferrences. (the router can't be the problem actually, since i tried it directly via pacaconnect) If vKip works fine, can interferrences still be a source of error? IP: Logged |
