![]() ![]() ![]() I have been a developer for over 10 years in the business realm. I have been developing .NET applications for about the last 4 years. I primarily write web, winform and web service based business applications. I understand this is a different discipline than writing audio applications but I want to learn, but where to start? Does anyone have suggestions at where to begin? C++ seems like a good candidate. C# is the current language of development. Any suggestions would be welcome. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() What did you have in mind to create? Controllers? Interfaces? DSP algorithms? Or were you just planning to explore without necessarily having any particular application in mind? (There is a lot of programming that you can do right in Kyma (for example with the Tool)). IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Thanks for the reply. All of the above. I am interested in expanding my knowledge to a very different level, including possible programming for the pacarana (new prototypes) if the SDK opens up in terms of the NDA. For example, I just checked out SuperCollider's source code to review and to learn from. I also have the Steinberg VST 3 SDK. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() This is the place to start: http://music.columbia.edu/cmc/music-dsp/musicdspFAQ.html If you are going to have to start from a basic maths ability you may be in for a bit of pain depending on what you need to do! IP: Logged |
