Hello,

I'm having a problem with iPad Kyma Control app. I'm using Delora KymaConnect, which shows that everything is running fine. I'm also able to play midi from iPad to Kyma. But the Kyma Control app show an exclamation and there is no Paca host available.

I've booted all the devices many times. Any hints what to try?

X.87
MBP OS X 10.7.5
Paca
Konnekt 24D

Are you connecting via Wifi? I notice you are using midi , is that via cable?

Hi Samuel

In Kyma in the Dsp status window if you select configure-> Osc does kyma display an ip address. If not check your ethernet cable and dbl check you haven't inadvertently plugged your ethernet cable into the expansion port rather than the network port. I have inadvertently done that and surprisingly enough ethernet cable's are not very rugged so try additional cables.

In Kyma Connect does it show your paca address in the form beslime-xxx, where the xxx is your serial number? try repeating the setup procedure.

Are you using a router for your network connection to/from the ipad and paca? I created an adhoc wireless network via airport and it is much faster and more reliable than using a router.

I just reread your post so the above info is most likely irrelevant beause you are getting midi from an ipad app - correct? Or are you routing multiple devices via kyma connect to the paca? Could you elaborate on your setup?

HTH

Thank you for your replies.

I'm using wifi in adhoc network. I'm using only iPad, not any wired devices. And yes the iPad with Alchemy mobile is able to send midi to Kyma. I guess that confirms that KymaConnect is running OK. But KymaControl can't find my beslime-66. It was working alright yesterday. I did update the Kyma software yesterday, but I think that it was OK after that.

I've had trouble connecting KymaControl before also, but killing the app and lauching it again has solved it.
