Author | Topic: Adjusting fine values in the VCS with a mousewheel reversed |
ChristianSchloesser Member |
![]() ![]() ![]() When i adjust values in the VCS with the mousewheel and press the shift key for fine adjustments the direction of the adjustment is reversed. This behavior was not standard on previous versions... it feels strange. Is there an option to switch this back to the old mode? All the best [This message has been edited by ChristianSchloesser (edited 30 October 2012).] IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Are you using Mac OS X 10.7 or newer? Starting with Lion, Apple reversed the scroll direction of the mouse wheel. You can change the direction in the System Preferences, but evidently the preference is not applied when the shift key is held down. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() That was my first thought you changed this somehow for the new OS but... No. We both use still the same Mac OS X 10.6.8. And it changes direction while holding down shift... not in general.. only when fine tuning parameters.. greetings [This message has been edited by ChristianSchloesser (edited 31 October 2012).] IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() I am still using the same OS version but the kyma behavior changed. For me it s no problem if kyma would changed the direction because of apples guidelines.. it is just irritating that if i am decreasing a value and then i press shift the direction changes and i am increasing the value in smaller steps. have a nice day chris IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() OK, it appears that we compensated for the change that Apple made in the newer OS by reversing the direction of the mouse wheel. But apparently this has broken the behavior in Apple's older operating systems. ![]() More soon... IP: Logged |
