I am upgrading my studio to 7.1 surround and wonder about the new 9.1 (+ two front-height) and 11.1 (+ two front-height and two surround-height) surround formats?
Is there a big difference? If so, is it technical possible to do this with Kyma?
The plan is to work with an Apogee Symphony I/O with 16 I/O. USB audio support on the Symphony I/O will be available later on.

Currently, there is a software limit of 8 inputs/outputs in Kyma for historical reasons (that was the number of outputs for the Capybara-320).

We plan to increase that number at some point but don't have any estimate yet of when that might happen.
